children's safety, please remind them that during Chinese School
recess they are not allowed to leave the school building to play on
Clark's athletic fields or in nearby woods. They can play in the Gym
and parents-on-duty routinely ring the bell in the Gym to signal the
end of recess. Thanks.

From Extra-Curricular Director Terry Hsu
The school is in
the process of preparing for our Chinese Cultural Day event on
February 7, 2010, to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year.
There will be plenty of food, games and raffle tickets for prizes to
signify a new prosperous year. The school wishes and welcomes that
all the parents and students can provide any idea about the
activities during that day. Any idea for this event please email to:

Director (acting) Dai-Hua Shiao
Teacher Profile: 7th
Grade Teacher Chuan Dao
Chuan Dao was born and raised in
Saigon, Vietnam. She earned her Bachelor’s degree of
Arts and Science in Literature from National Taiwan ChengChi
University in 1974 and taught middle school for four years.
Before she became the language teacher Mrs. Dao has substituted for
many years and worked as administrative assistant, arts and crafts
teacher. Currently she is our 7th grade language
teacher. Mrs. Dao enjoys teaching, listening to music, cooking
and creating rice dough sculptures. She recently became a
freelance medical interpreter on weekdays. Mrs. Dao likes to
help people. She is happily married and has three children.
Other
Overseas
Youth Chinese Language and Culture Summer Camps (sponsored by the ROC
Taiwanese Government) will be held in Taiwan from July 6 to August
16, 2010, for ages 18 to 24. Space is limited; if interested,
