TCLS Adult Basketball team is looking for new blood

All are welcomed

TCLS Basketball team had a long history of winning the annual MIT Chinese Basketball tournament (Champion of 2005-2009).

  • Most of you have a Parent-Teacher meeting scheduled on this or next Sunday between 4:00 and 5:00 in the classroom. It will be a great opportunity to talk to the teacher about the planning and expectations, and give your recommendations. Please plan to attend.
  • We are in the process of publishing the school directory and are looking for sponsorship in the form of business advertisements as well as individual donations.  If you know of any potential business advertisers or if yourself can support this effort, please contact Su-Ju Chen (jshiau1@msn.com) before October 31, 2010.
  • On 9/24, Zoe Hsieh (G7), Rachael Shiau (TA) and Shu-Ju Chen (Board) from TCLS and others performed in the Confucius Ceremony. To read more, please see EpchoTimes report.
  • On 10/9, TCLS participated in the ROC, Taiwan’s 100th National Day celebration parade. It was sunny and at 85 degrees. The walk started from China town and ended at City Hall, followed by a ceremony. I like to thank the George Wang (computer teacher) family, the Pei Chung Hsieh (G7 teacher) family who represented TCLS. There were about 1,000 people attended the event and I met few TCLS friends there too.  To read more about the history of ROC, Taiwan, please see wiki.
