  • The Newton Chinese Culture Center is inviting all families to the New Year celebration on January 1st at 90 Lincoln St. Newton Highlands, MA 02461. The event will start with flag-raising at 11:30AM followed by a lunch party.  Please email Shawn Liu (thechineselanguageschool@gmail.com) before 12/19 if you plan to attend.
  • We are in the process of preparing for the events of the Cultural day and the Chinese New Year celebration on 1/29 between 2:00 and 5:00pm. The events include food service, arts & crafts booths, games, and performances. The food and prizes are all from donations. If you would like to share a signature dish or desert, please sign up with Li-Chu Lo (lichu02139@hotmail.com). If you would like to donate a raffle prize, you could just bring it up to the office. Also the classes that host the games will share 50% of the games’ earnings. For game ideas, please contact Peter Lee (leefamlex@yahoo.com). We ask you to invite family and friends to have fun with us and all proceeds will be donated to the school.
  • The National Council of Associations of Chinese Language Schools (NCACLS) will offer a National Preparation SAT II Chinese exam on 3/11/2012 at TCLS. We encourage all our 9th graders to take the test. It is voluntary for 7th and 8th graders. Students wishing to take the practice test can register from now until 1/29/ 2012 with their teacher. The registration fee is $10, payable to TCLS. Scores will be available by April 30.
