- This Sunday, 1/22, the Arts & Crafts teacher, Yu-Chun Guo, is hosting a New Year Arts & Crafts workshop for the parents between 3:15 and 4:00 in the cafeteria. All are welcome.
- G3 (room 347)Story telling contest is scheduled on Sunday, 1/22, between 2:30 and 2:50 in the classroom. Parents are welcome to observer.

- We are in the process of preparing for the events of the Cultural day and the Chinese New Year celebration on 1/29 between 2:00 and 5:00pm. The events include food service, arts & crafts booths, games, and performances. The food and prizes are all from donations. If you would like to share a signature dish or dessert, please sign up with Li-Chu Lo (lichu02139@hotmail.com). If you would like to donate a raffle prize, you can just bring it up to the office. Also, the classes are hosting the games will share 50% of the games’ earnings. For game ideas, please contact Peter Lee (leefamlex@yahoo.com). We ask you to invite family and friends to have fun with us and all proceeds will be donated to the school.
To avoid the long line on the 1/29 Cultural Day, tickets for food/games (4 for $1) and raffles (1 for $5, 3 for $10, 7 for $20) will be pre-sold in the Office this Sunday. There will be no refund for unused tickets. All proceeds will be donated to the school.
- The National Council of Associations of Chinese Language Schools (NCACLS) will offer a National Preparation SAT II Chinese exam on 3/11/2012 at TCLS. We encourage all our 9th graders to take the test. It is voluntary for the 7th and 8th graders. Students wishing to take the practice test can register from now until 1/29/ 2012 with their teacher. The registration fee is $10, payable to TCLS. Scores will be available by April 30.
