- Parent volunteers wanted this Sunday between 2:05 and 2:55 in the Cafeteria. Arts and Crafts Teacher Ms. Kuo will work with volunteers to knead the dough and make Lantern sashes in preparation for the 2/3 Chinese New Year celebration.
- G2 and G1 will have “Books and Cookies time” this Sunday between 2:45 and 3:15.
- We’ll be making special order of the traditional Chinese food for the Chinese New Year.
- Please pay in advance while ordering through bakery, Li-Chu Lo (lichu02139@hotmail.com), and pick up on 2/3. Food items include
Bamboo wrapped rice with meat (肉粽) one for $3.5 each and 3 for $10
Spiced sticky rice (油飯) $6 for a Box
Wrapped meatballs (肉圓 ) $5 for 2 in a box
Meat soup (肉羹 ) $10 for a box
Tofu skins (豆腐皮) $8 for a box
Pan fried Bums (水煎包) $8 for 4 in a box
- The 2/3 Cultural day and the Chinese New Year preparation is on its way. The events include food service, arts & crafts, games, and performances. The food and prizes are all from donations. The proceeds from the games will go to the classes that host the game.

- The National Council of Associations of Chinese Language Schools (NCACLS) will offer a National Preparation SAT II Chinese exam on 3/10/2013 at TCLS. We encourage all our 9th and 8th graders to take the test. It is voluntary for the 7th graders. Students wishing to take the practice test can with their teacher before 1/27/2013. The registration fee is $10, payable to TCLS. Scores will be available by April 30.
- In the event of the inclement weather or snow day the school cancellation will be posted on our website (http://www.thechineselanguageschool.org). You will also be notified via email.
