- There are quite a few high school students who are teaching or being the TA at TCLS are going to college this fall. I don’t have a complete list, but I’ll just name a few that I know of. I would like to thank them for serving at TCLS and wish them best luck at their future ventures.
Josh Shiau – TCLS 2008 graduate, Computer TA 2008-2010, Guitar teacher 2008-2011. Josh is going to Rhode Island School of Design major in Industrial Design.
Elizabeth Shih – TCLS 2008 graduate, G1 TA 2009-2011, Dance Teacher 2009-2011. Elizabeth is going to Northeastern University Pharmacy.
Jay Po – Chinese martial arts and lion dance teacher 2007-2011. Jay is going to Harvard College.
- The 6/12 Graduation Day is all set to go. Lunch starts at 12:00, Academic and Art display is between 12:00 and 1:30, and the graduation ceremony starts at 1:30. Luncheon tickets are $7/adult and $5/child. Please remember to keep the ticket stubs for raffling.
- The discount for the early registration ends on 6/12. You can still register on Graduation day at the ticket table.
- We will be adding the Chinese Chess as an extra-curricular activity next year. If your child wants to sign up for this class, please add a note on your registration form.
- All unclaimed parent duty deposit checks will be torn up at the end of the day on 06/13. If you have fulfilled your parent duty, please be assured that your deposit check will not be cashed.

- Thanks to all our teachers for their hard work during the year. Their unselfish dedication of their time and effort provided a carefree learning environment for the children. At the same time, we also give thanks to all the teaching assistants and volunteers, who eased the teachers’ administrative tasks and helped maintain classroom discipline.
- High school students can serve at our school as part of fulfilling community service requirements for high school. Qualifications include: (1) being a TCLS graduate with good listening and speaking skills in Chinese language; (2) being willing to serve from 1:55-4:00 PM in a language class and/or 3:55-5:00 PM in an extracurricular class or as a tutor for junior students; (3) being a role model for other students and committing to missing no more than four sessions of school.
