- School will be closed on the 1/19, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
- G3 and G4 will have “Books and Cookies time” between 2:45 and 3:15.
- Report cards I will be sent home this Sunday. Please put down your comments and return it back to the teacher next Sunday.
- The National Council of Associations of Chinese Language Schools (NCACLS) will offer a National Preparation SAT II Chinese exam on 3/9 at TCLS. We encourage all our 9th and 8th graders to take the test. It is voluntary for the 7th graders. Students wishing to take the practice test can with their teacher before 2/2. The registration fee is $10, payable to TCLS. Scores will be available before 4/30.
- We’ll be hosting the year of the horse celebration on 2/2 and have invited families from Clarke middle school’s mandarin classes. In preparing for the event, we’ll need your help.

There are also offering special traditional Chinese foods you can place orders in advance with Li-Chu Lo (lichu02139@hotmail.com) and pick up on 2/2. Food items include:
Bamboo wrapped rice with meat 肉粽 (3) for $10 and $3.5 each
Tofu skins 豆腐皮 $8/box
Meat soup 肉羹湯 $10/jar (1 QT)
Pan fried Bums生煎包 $8/box (8 in a box)
Spiced sticky rice糯米飯 $6/box
- In the event of the inclement weather or snow day the school cancellation will be posted on school website (http://www.thechineselanguageschool.org). You will also be notified via email.
